The short version: the school district publishes real, subscribable calendar feeds for its district calendar, activities, and fine arts events. But they're hidden behind "RSS" icons on bsd7.org that look broken and open a confusing picker. Here are the three direct URLs, ready to paste into any calendar app.

The three feeds

  • District calendar (board meetings, PIR days, breaks): webcal://www.bsd7.org/calendar/calendar_350.ics
  • Activities & athletics (games, clubs, school events): webcal://www.bsd7.org/calendar/calendar_352.ics
  • Fine arts (concerts, performances): webcal://www.bsd7.org/calendar/calendar_351.ics

How to subscribe

Apple Calendar or Outlook: click the webcal link, or File → New Calendar Subscription and paste it. Google Calendar: under "Other calendars," choose "From URL" and paste the same address with https:// instead of webcal:// and _gmt before .ics, for example https://www.bsd7.org/calendar/calendar_352_gmt.ics.

Two things to know

First: the three feeds are not equally stocked. Checked September 1, the district calendar carried 19 events running through November 27, and Fine Arts carried 43 running through December 1. Activities and athletics returned a valid, correctly formed calendar containing zero events, and it was still empty after the first day of school. If you subscribe to that one and nothing shows up, the gap is upstream of you. Because these are subscriptions, whatever the district adds later will appear on its own. Second: per-team game schedules (kickoff times, opponents) live on NFHS Network and MaxPreps, which offer no feeds at all. For those you're stuck checking the sites.

Why are these so hard to find?

The feeds come from the district's website platform (Finalsite), which tucks them behind an "RSS" icon that requires JavaScript and doesn't look clickable. I found them while building my searchable, subscribable version of the 2026-27 academic calendar, which also includes the dates the district only publishes as a PDF. Subscribe to whichever combination suits your family.
